RC Cars - 1/10 Sakura Zero TC
The main reason I bought a 1/10 Sakura Zero radio control touring car is because it was cheap. And more important, pink. Perfect for my daughter.
Update: 2012 TITC Sakura Zero Race
Photo: 10 year old Porsha with her 1/10 Sakura Zero rc car. Protoform LTC-R body with Hello Kitty stickers. She raced in the 2012 TITC rc car race, one of the fastest touring car race for 2012.
Pictured: Clean wiring for 1/10 scale Modified class. Nosram electronic speed control, Novak 4.5r brushless motor, Futaba high speed servo and Sanwa MT4 radio controller. Speeds over 60 miles per hour.
You might be asking, pink tires? Well it's actually home made from a product called magic mat that I found in department stores. Don't be fooled, it is very high grip and long lasting. A good substitute for the expensive Sorex touring car tires.
With regular Sorex 36r tires, on indoor asphalt track, here's my review... "Buy it". Yes, the Sakura Zero in my opinion offers great value and it performs well. I've owned a Hotbodies TCX and a Tamiya 416. I prefer driving the Sakura Zero.
Basic setup: Standard Sakura items. Gear diff (1000wt oil) rear and spool up front. Sorex 36r tires with Mighty Gripper traction compound. Sakura optional springs and short shocks. Protoform LTCR body.
Pink foam tire test: Grip was extremely good. Tires lasted for 45 minutes.
